Head Shots

Published by at 5:15 pm under Hair,Posts With Photos

I am doing good today.  Just a bit tired.  Getting ready for my third round of chemo next week.  I had some energy to take a few shots today.  I know some where hoping I would share.  I really can’t believe I am doing this.  I really hope that by sharing everything including photos would be of encouragement to someone who would unfortunately have to go through it. oxox

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phil 4:13 NAS

Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.

Thomas says you look like a swimmer. I think you look great. There was a woman in our Bible study once who was new and had super short hair. Someone complimented her and asked her how she was brave enough to try it. She said she had had cancer, but liked her hair short and kept it that way. I know that you don’t like it, but some people think it’s hip and looks great.

You are so beautiful! I have to say the curly hair is my favorite. The blue stocking cap is pretty cool too. My cousin did something to fry her hair, and it won’t grow back, so she has this look pretty much all the time. The bald look seems to be in right now, so half the time I don’t even notice it on people. So grateful for your posts and your honesty.

Way to go girl! I am so impressed with your chutzpah (definition below taken from http://www.wisegeek. com/what-is-chutzpah.htm) And I definitely mean this in the positive quality sense. You are a fabulously beautiful person inside and out. I am used to picturing you with straight hair, but I also smile back at the curly haired Amy too! Thank you for posting your pictures.

Chutzpah is a Hebrew term with layers of meaning. Pronunciation of the word chutzpah is varied. Typically the C is silent and the word may be pronounced “hutspah” or “huspa” with a short u sound. The word in Hebrew from which the modern spelling is derived is huspa and in Hebrew, chutzpah would be defined as arrogance, impertinence, or insolence.

In Yiddish, chutzpah is not always negatively viewed and it in fact may be a positive quality. If it is not exactly positive, people may have ambivalent feelings about displays of chutzpah. On the one hand, they may look at it as rude or impertinent, but on the other, they also may admire the bravery to be impertinent under certain circumstances. Related terms in other languages include cojones from Spanish, and hubris from Ancient Greek.

In other words, chutzpah can be defined as guts, the ability to say or act in ways that may be negatively perceived and require a certain amount of bravery. Challenging an elder or a teacher might be considered an act of chutzpah, but if you can prove your point, it might be an admirable thing to do, even if you generally would respect such a person.
